Presentation at "Charlton Place"

On Thursday, Ballet V, Ballet IV, Ballet II, Basic 2, Wee 3, and Wee 1 all performed their dances at a local nursing home. The hallways were steamy because the day was unusually hot (80 degrees in December!!!) and the nursing home didn't have their A/C on! There were some rough spots, but overall things went well because people were blessed and God was glorified.

Here are some pictures, taken by Ms. Katie Abbott and Ms. Sylvia Pope!
Recital sisters! Girls are grouped in 2s and 3s,
with the older ones keeping track of and helping the younger ones.
Nate as Joshua with Wee 3 as the Israelites in "Never Once."
Aren't they adorable??
Ballet IV as "ashes" in a dance about Job to "Beauty Will Rise."
"It was the day the world went wrong... everything came crashing down."
"But out of these ashes, beauty will rise! And we will dance among the ruins."
One of our three "story" dances, "The Fiery Furnace," to soundtrack music from "Gladiator."
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are being arrested for not worshipping the idol...
Girls from Ballet IV and V dancing as the fire in the blazing furnace!
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survive the flames because of their faith in the one true God!
Ballet V in "O Savior of Our Fallen Race"
Suffering in exile, longing for the Messiah to come!
Encouraged by the prophet, we await the "birth of Christ our King!"
In another "story" dance, a young woman named Mary is visited by an angel...

Sweet pax de deux with a brother and sister!
Wee 3 and the younger guys in "Mary's Boy-Child!"
"Hark, now hear the angels sing!"
"While shepherds watched their flocks by night..."
"...they saw a bright, new shining star!"
Wee 1 in "Jesus, Joy of the Highest Heaven"
One of the cutest dances!
Basic 2 in "When Love Takes You In," a song about adoption!

Girls from Ballet II were the "families" who loved and adopted the "orphans"

Ballet V in "Beloved," dancing as the bride of Christ!
"You're My Beloved!"
"Lover, I'm Yours!"
"I'll clothe you in white; My immaculate bride you will be!"
"Death shall not part us..."
"It's you I died for!"
Prayers are appreciated as we enter our busiest month so far! Next Monday we have another nursing home presentation, followed by a second set of combined classes on Tuesday and Thursday. Then on to dress rehearsal and performances the following week!

To God be the glory!
